AIRPORT PICKUP AND RETURN
Someone from Epifania Spanish School or our transportation company will pick you up at the airport and take you to the Spanish School facilities. You will also be provided transportation to the airport when you leave. In this case, the entire group needs to arrive to Costa Rica at the same time.
HOMESTAY AND MEALS
During the Spanish Language Camp, students stay with Costa Rican families. Each family is carefully chosen based on their friendliness, cleanliness and willingness to help our Spanish students. By staying with a Costa Rican family, you will be able to practice your Spanish Language as much as you like, while experiencing a traditional Costa Rican lifestyle. Homestay begins on the day you arrive and will end on the final day of your Spanish Language Camp. On arriving in Costa Rica, all the host families will be waiting for each student at the school. Then each student will leave with their respective families to his/her house. Someone from the family will go with you to the Spanish school on the first day of Spanish classes to show you the way.
While you are staying with a family you will have your own private room, breakfast and dinner and laundry service.
MEALS: Your Costa Rican family will serve you two meals daily, breakfast and dinner. Please indicate on the registration form if you prefer only vegetarian dishes and if you cannot eat certain foods. Costa Rica has an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables that your family will prepare.
LAUNDRY: Your family will provide laundry service and will change your bedclothes weekly.
HOUSE KEY: A front door key will be provided for you if you are over 18 so you will be free to come and go as you please. However, if you are going to be late or go away for the weekend please let your hosts know so they will not worry.
YOUR FAMILY: Epifania Spanish School is located in a residential/commercial section of Curridabat, a quiet suburb of San Jose. While we are located in a quiet secure area, a 15 minute bus ride will have you in the center of San Jose. Each family is selected by the Epifania Spanish School Homestay coordinator and will have clean, secure homes. Our families enjoy hosting foreign Spanish students for the experience of sharing their homes and culture and learning of the culture of the students as well. As the host family is looking forward to hosting a Spanish student and if the student is also friendly and considerate, your stay will be very pleasant and educational.

- Mountain Hotel: Arenal Paraiso. Their website is www.arenalparaiso.com.
- Location: In the northern zone of Costa Rica located 6.5 kilometers from la Fortuna Town toward the Arenal Lake, with a front view of the Arenal Volcano from every room.
- Duration: 2 days and 1 night
The Arenal volcano is a 1,633 meters (5,300 feet) high mountain, which is perfectly conically shaped with a crater of 140 meters. The Arenal is geologically considered a young volcano and the age is estimated to be less than 3,000 years. The local residents have also known it as "Arenal Peak”, "Pan de Azúcar", "The Canaste Volcano", "The Costa Rica", "Río Frío Volcano" or "The Guatusos Peak".
The volcano was asleep for hundreds of years and exhibited a single crater at its summit, with minor fumaroles activity, covered by dense vegetation. In 1968 it had an eruption and destroyed the small town of Tabacón. Due to the eruption three more craters were created on the western flanks but only one of them exists at today's date.
Arenal is considered Costa Rica's most active volcano and has been studied by seismologists for many years and although the activity nowadays is less damaging you can still see daily ash columns, underground rumbling, glowing orange lava flows and sudden explosions. With its perfect conical shape it allows breathtaking views of volcanic action in the summit. Almost every night the crater offers a spectacle of lights with its explosive eruptions.
The hotel has two swimming pools, one for adults and one for children, plus a Jacuzzi with temperate water.
Complimentary Wi-Fi and high-speed DSL internet access is available in public areas and there are two computers especially for the students.
Tour Includes: Private transportation, Bilingual Guide, Housing (4 students per room), all meals, and one night visit to the slopes of the volcano, if the weather permitting.
