Law Enforcement and Public Safety Program for Two Weeks
This course is specifically designed for law enforcement and public safety officials that serve in a community with a large Latina population that speaks Spanish and does not speak English. Law enforcement and public safety officials nationwide should understand enough Spanish to communicate and avoid dangerous situations. It is very important that our public safety employees are prepared to communicate with everyone in their community.
We will teach the exact words you will need to conduct safe traffic stops, respond to domestic disputes, and conduct interviews as well as basic Spanish. We will also teach you words of warning that will help keep you safe, especially when dealing with two or more Spanish speakers. You will also learn slang words as well as vulgar and curse words.
Cultural awareness and the ability to communicate are essential for an effective and safe response to potentially dangerous situations.
Course Outline for Two Weeks
This program includes the following:
- Spanish classes: 5 days per week - 6 hours per day - 60 hours of Spanish classes total.
- Homestay for two weeks - includes private room, breakfast and dinner and laundry service.
- Round trip transportation from the airport and back.
- Participation Certificate.
Price of the Program
- The price of the program for two weeks is $1,025.00.
- The Program includes classes, textbook, airport transportation and home stay.
- It does not include transportation to Costa Rica or the $26 airport departure tax
