Epifania Spanish Volunteer Programs

The Epifania Volunteer Program is designed for persons that, besides studying Spanish, wish to volunteer in social, cultural or ecological projects. You can work in volunteer projects and study Spanish at the same time or, in other projects, the student has to study Spanish first and then work in a Volunteer project.
The volunteer opportunities offered through Epifania Spanish School are for persons at least 18 years of age and registered for classes at Epifania Spanish School for a minimum of one week.

We offer two types of volunteer programs. One type is where you study Spanish in the mornings and volunteer with social and cultural projects in the afternoon. You can volunteer to work as many or as few hours as you wish. These types of programs include working with disadvantaged youths, teaching English, teaching sports and other types of social volunteer work. These types of volunteer projects require a minimum of one week.
The other type of volunteer program is where you study Spanish for two weeks at Epifania and then go to a volunteer ecological or conservation site. The site could be at a beach where you would help with sea turtle conservation or perhaps in a rain forest or other locations. You will have room and board at the site and it will be clean and safe but somewhat spartan. These type programs require a minimum stay of four weeks, two weeks studying Spanish and two weeks in the field.
Social and Cultural Volunteer Projects for 1 week
In these programs, the volunteer can take Spanish classes and help with social work projects at the same time.

- Volunteer in a Children's home.
- Volunteer Building Homes for low income families.
- Elderly People Care Volunteer.
- Volunteer in Rehabilitation Centers for people with alcohol problems.
- Volunteer in Day Care for disadvantaged children.
- Teaching English to various groups.
- Volunteer teaching Sports and Physical Education.
This Program includes the following
- Spanish Classes: 5 days per week - 3 hours per day - 15 hours total.
- Volunteer Project: 4 days per week - 3 o 4 hours per day.
- Homestay for 1 week - private room, breakfast, dinner and laundry services.
- Round trip transportation - airport/home & home/airport.
- Half day tour - San Jose City Tour.
- Participation Certificate.
Price for this program:
- 1 week for $ 385.00.
- Additional days: $ 50.00 per day.

In these programs, the volunteer can take Spanish classes and help with social work projects at the same time.

Price for this program:
- 2 weeks for $ 675.00.
- Additional weeks: $ 350.00 per week.

- Volunteer Project: 4 days per week - 3 o 4 hours per day.
- Homestay for 4 weeks - private room, breakfast, dinner and laundry services.
- Round trip transportation - airport/home & home/airport.
- Half day tour - San Jose City Tour.
- Participation Certificate.
Price for this program:
- 4 weeks for $ 1.250.00.
- Additional weeks: $ 350.00 per week.
Ecological and Conservation Volunteer projects for 4 weeks
In these projects the student has to study Spanish first and then work in a Volunteer project at a different location within Costa Rica. We work with various Volunteer organizations in Costa Rica which allows us to place you in the volunteer project that you are interested in.

- Wildlife Refuges.
- Reserve and National Parks.
- Environmental protection.
This Projects includes the following
- 2 weeks Spanish Classes: 5 days per week, 4 hours per day for 40 hours total.
- Homestay for 2 weeks - private room, breakfast, dinner and laundry services.
- 2 weeks of Volunteer in Ecology Project.
- Homestay for 2 weeks (room and board at volunteer site).
- Round trip transportation - airport/home & home/airport.
- Transportation to volunteer site.
- Half day tour - San Jose City Tour.
- Participation Certificate.
Price for this program:
- 4 weeks for $ 1.250.00.
- Additional weeks: $ 350.00 per week.
