I recently returned from Costa Rica and the two weeks that I spent studying at Epifanía were some of the best weeks of my life!  The Epifanía School itself is beautifully decorated, comfortable, and is kept super clean.  Everybody on the Epifanía team is committed to making sure that your experience in Costa Rica is "pura vida" or, in other words, fantastic.

The teachers at Epifanía are some of the most creative, dynamic, and talented teachers I've ever had the pleasure to work with. They make learning fun and they have the unique ability to make complex concepts seem simple. At Epifanía, they teach you how culture intertwines with the language so that you get the whole picture and you learn to speak naturally, like a Tico. It's been said that "Students don't care how much you know until they know how much you care."

The Epifanía team truly cares about all of the Epifanía students. They make you feel welcome, comfortable, and they go the extra mile to make sure that everything is going well for you.  I've attended other language schools in Costa Rica and in Mexico but Epifanía is definitely the best of the best!  Between the extremely high quality of the teaching and the care and dedication of all of the staff, I believe that Epifanía is the best language school in all of Costa Rica.

My primera introduction to Epifania Spanish Language School was in October 2007. It was my second trip to this beautiful country, Costa Rica, and I was determined to study the language this time. Thoughts of gratitude go to my Canadian amiga living in San Jose for giving me the brochure about the courses at the school, and for supporting my efforts.

Immediately, I felt 'at home' in the relaxed environment and with the friendly, enthusiastic staff. In November, I started the 4-week program. This highly interactive experience soon revealed that I would be acquiring much more than a new language skill. Epifania is the manifestation of a universal concept, a place where travelers from all cultures and backgrounds can meet and learn together, and have fun. Humor is just one of the important aspects of this unique approach, together with muchos encouragement, practical application, stimulating conversation, and the qualified teachers who are dedicated to making your visit to the school worthwhile. They are intelligent, informed, and effective in their profession. For all that my Epifania 'familia' has done for me, through the inspiring moments and the challenges, I offer my deep appreciation. Ma vida is changed because of their friendship and support, kind understanding and generosity.

There is still a ways to go, but now I have the confidence and a solid foundation to keep me going, and as my teachers always remind me, "Es un proceso". It is February 2008 and I am still here, still studying Spanish and still smiling. I encourage anyone who is interested in learning the language with the support of native speakers, to consider Epifania.

It is rare to have a learning experience as rich as the two weeks I spent at the Epifania School. The unforgettable quality of the teachers and their teaching methods enabled me to advance my Spanish skills, connect on a human level and have fun all at the same time.

The environment and spirit of the school, humor, delicious Costa Rican snacks, a Latin dance class and the time to get to know other students all  added to the joy of learning at Epifania.

The staff also arranged wonderful weekend tours and were consistently attentive to every aspect of my experience in Costa Rica. This summer, (2007) I attended 3 weeks of classes at Epifanía Spanish Language School in San José, Costa Rica. After a short test the first day, the staff determined that I was an auditory learner with a beginner's knowledge of Spanish.

They set up my program with one class of grammar and one class of conversation daily, alternating instructors about every 4 days. They increased the pace when I was progressing well and slowed it down when I needed it.

This custom program, the super clean and bright classrooms, the unlimited coffee and snacks and the ambitious and hard working staff allowed me to become conversant while having fun. I would recommend Epifanía as THE school to learn Spanish while in San Jose.

I spent a six month period studying Spanish with Guiselle in Costa Rica from February to August 2006. I can personally vouch for the effectiveness of her teaching method by the fact that now I am completely fluent in all different levels of Spanish and have learned to speak "like a Tico.

It is not, however, solely Guiselle's ability to assist and educate her students that makes her method so successful, but also the enjoyable ways in wich she makes the material come alive as well as her affable personality. I strongly urge anyone interested in taking their Spanish to new and exciting levels to visit Costa Rica and study at the Epifania School.

My experience in classes at Epifania was totally delightful and very useful! The relaxed environment was very conducive to speaking without feeling embarrassed. My teachers were great and the small class sizes allowed a lot of personal attention. I heartily endorse the teaching philosophy at Epifanía, with its focus on speaking and conversation. I was quickly impressed with Epifanía's superior instructional materials. The quality of the materials is top notch, and the educational director really knows what she's doing. Epifanía, because it is small (or at least was when I was there), is also quite sensitive to student placement and individual needs.
